FAQ
Installation
How hard is it to install the Sniper myself?
The Sniper mounts on your ceiling, directly above the ball. Mark the point directly above the ball on the ceiling, then measure 17 cm (6¾ in) toward the screen along the target line to locate the ceiling plate’s first hole. Use the plate itself to mark the mounting holes. You'll need an electric drill, a plumb line or laser level, and drill bits suited to your ceiling: 3.2 mm for concrete or 10 mm for drywall. Metal screws are self-drilling and need no pilot holes. Fix the ceiling plate using the included hardware for your ceiling, then mount the main unit. Use a stable ladder, support the main unit until all four screws are tight, and get help if needed. Run the USB 3.0 cable to your PC and follow the 5-step on-screen Setup.
How long does setup take?
Allow approximately 2–4 hours for a first-time installation, including ceiling mounting, cabling and software setup. Actual time varies with your space and installation experience.
What if I get stuck during setup?
Use the Contact form, or Send Feedback in Sniper, for setup help. We provide an initial response within three business days. Some issues may take longer to resolve.
Space & Equipment
How much space do I need?
A ceiling 270–300 cm (8 ft 11 in – 9 ft 10 in) above the mat. Enough room for a safe full swing — no fixed distance. See the Specs & Space page for the rest.
Do I need a projector and screen, or can I use a TV / hit into a net?
A projector is optional. Use a projector with an impact screen, or view the software on a TV, external monitor or your PC screen while hitting into a golf net. Follow the space and installation requirements on the Specs & Space page.
What computer do I need?
Use a PC running Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit), with at least 8 GB of RAM; 16 GB or more is recommended. See the Specs & Space page. The minimum CPU is Intel Core i5 (12th Gen or newer); Intel Core i5 or i7 (12th Gen or newer) is recommended. The minimum GPU is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (6 GB VRAM); NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or RTX 5060 Ti (at least 8 GB VRAM) is recommended. Allow at least 10 GB of free disk space for Sniper. An SSD with at least 20 GB of free disk space is recommended for Sniper. E6 Connect, GSPro and swing video recordings require additional disk space.
Do I need special golf balls?
No. The Sniper measures spin optically from standard golf balls — no marker balls or proprietary balls required. Practice with the ball you actually play.
Can left- and right-handed golfers share the same setup?
In rooms approximately 5 m (16 ft 5 in) wide or wider, a fixed overhead sensor can generally support both left- and right-handed play if the required hitting positions and safe swing clearance are available. Switch the playing mode in the software. In narrower rooms, a sliding rail may be considered to reposition the sensor. Maintain the recommended 2.5 m (8 ft 3 in) sensor-to-rear-wall distance and allow sufficient slack in all signal and power cables throughout any sliding movement.
See Flexible Overhead Sensor Positioning for installation guidance.

Warranty & Support
What warranty comes with the Sniper?
The Sniper limited hardware warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship in the camera and built-in LED module under normal use for one year, starting on the date the Sniper licence key is first activated. Repair or replacement parts and repair labour are provided at no charge for covered defects.
This limited warranty excludes normal wear and damage actually caused by misuse, accidents, improper installation or operation, or modifications. Correct DIY installation in accordance with Power Swing's instructions does not void this warranty. Using third-party parts or independent repair services does not by itself void this warranty; only damage actually caused by those parts or services may be excluded. These exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law and do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
What happens if something breaks? How is servicing handled?
Contact Power Swing support for remote troubleshooting first. Depending on the issue, service may involve a replacement part or module shipped to you, or returning the equipment to Taiwan for repair. Contact support for return instructions. For covered warranty claims, you pay the cost of shipping any item that needs to be returned to Power Swing in Taiwan. Power Swing pays the shipping cost of repaired or replacement hardware sent to you. This cost allocation is subject to applicable law and does not limit mandatory consumer rights.
What's your return policy?
Our voluntary change-of-mind return policy will be announced at launch, before orders open. It will explain the return window, eligibility conditions and return-shipping costs. This does not limit rights relating to defective or incorrectly supplied goods, or any statutory cancellation or return rights.
