Will the Sniper Fit Your Space?

Here's what you need to know before the launch — ceiling height, safe swing clearance, and what to have ready. Final specifications will be confirmed at launch.

Specs & Space

SPACE REQUIREMENTS

Plan your setup.

Mount Sniper on the ceiling with the LED end directly above the ball. Point the camera end and the unit’s arrow toward the screen.

Room installation diagram: Sniper’s LED end directly above the ball, camera end and unit arrow toward the impact screen, ceiling height 270–300 cm above the mat, and flat, level floor and turf. Leave enough room for a safe full swing; no fixed ball-to-screen distance.

Ball to impact screenNo fixed distanceEnough room for a safe full swing.

Perspective illustration, not to scale. Enough room for a safe full swing — no fixed distance. The lens is locked at the factory; use the stated ceiling-height range.

Mount to structure

Screws and anchors for wood, metal, concrete and drywall are included. For drywall, fasten to the structure behind it where possible; use drywall anchors only if the panel and anchors can support the main unit (approx. 1.8 kg (4 lb)). If the four holes cannot reach suitable structure, ask a qualified installer. Mark the point directly above the ball on the ceiling, then measure 17 cm (6¾ in) toward the screen along the target line to locate the ceiling plate’s first hole. Use the plate itself to mark the mounting holes. Use a stable ladder, support the main unit until all four screws are tight, and get help if needed.

Plan cables & power

Up to 10 m (32 ft 9 in) from the main unit to the PC, measured along the cable route — ceiling, corner and wall — not a straight line.

Use grounded 100–240 V outlets for the PC, LED power adapter and projector (if used). The LED outlet must be on the ceiling or next to the projector, within a cable route of 2 m (6 ft 6 in). No extension cord is included.

Keep direct light off the ball

This product is for indoor use only. Avoid placing the hitting area where it will be exposed to direct sunlight or bright indoor lights. The main unit has built-in LED lighting.

Choose your display

Use a projector with an impact screen, or a TV / monitor / PC screen with a golf net. A projector is optional.

Flexible Overhead Sensor Positioning

In rooms approximately 5 m (16 ft 5 in) wide or wider, the overhead sensor can generally remain in a fixed position for both left- and right-handed play, provided there is enough room for the required hitting positions and a safe full swing. Switch the playing mode in the software to match the golfer.

In narrower rooms, a sliding rail may be considered to reposition the overhead sensor for left- and right-handed play.

Installation requirement: Maintain the recommended 2.5 m (8 ft 3 in) distance between the sensor and the wall behind the golfer’s hitting position. For sliding installations, keep sufficient slack in all signal and power cables throughout the sensor’s full range of movement.

Keep the floor level

The floor and turf must be flat and level. Enough room for a safe full swing — no fixed distance.
